Bursatra Sdn Bhd, formerly known as Bursa Malaysia Training Sdn Bhd, is an offshoot of the training arm of Bursa Malaysia Berhad (formerly known as Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange). In addition to its role as the provider of professional courses for the securities industry, Bursatra was instrumental in training relevant personnel on the standard of the Malaysian Accounting Standards, Board (MASB) as part of the Listing Requirement for public listed companies in Malaysia. Today, Bursatra has expanded its scope to include the corporate training needs of Malaysian business. top

Bursatra Sdn Bhd, formerly known as Bursa Malaysia Training Sdn Bhd, is an offshoot of the training arm of Bursa Malaysia Berhad (formerly known as Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange).

In addition to its role as the provider of professional courses for the securities industry, Bursatra was instrumental in training relevant personnel on the standard of the Malaysian Accounting Standards, Board (MASB) as part of the Listing Requirement for public listed companies in Malaysia.

Today, Bursatra has expanded its scope to include the corporate training needs of Malaysian business.

What does Bursatra do?

Bursatra is a specialist training company which provides prides itself in providing effective and topical corporate training. With its track record of having been in the business of providing training for the financial industry for many years, Bursatra today provides a more comprehensive and expanded gateway for the training needs of the Malaysian business community.
More significantly, Bursatra is Bursa Malaysia's sole accredited trainer for the Mandatory Accreditation Programme (MAP) which is aimed at equipping directors of public listed companies with knowledge and understanding of various provisions, rules and regulations to effectively discharge their duties and obligations. The MAP is also meant to keep directors informed about of the latest changes and developments in the Malaysian securities industry. Todate, more than 6000 directors have participated in the MAP.
In addition, Bursatra is the main provider of training for the Continuing Education Programme (CEP) for directors of listed companies. The objective of the CEP is to ensure directors continuosly update themselves on developments in the securities industry, particularly in the areas of corporate governance and regulatory changes. The courses are intended to enhance the effectiveness of directors in discharging their duties.
Presently, there are 83 CEP courses that have been accredited by Bursa Malaysia.
In expanding its scope of services, Bursatra organises public conferences and seminars which are of relevance and add value to Malaysian business.
